Dr. Thomas T. Woloszyn is board certified in General Surgery, Plastic Surgery and has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand. He was an attending physician at Maimonides Medical Center in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from 1995 until 2009.Dr. Woloszyn was instrumental in establishing the Plastic and Hand Surgery Clinics at Lutheran Medical Center, and served as Director of the Plastic Surgery Division at Lutheran for more than ten years.
Published widely in peer review journals, he continues to participate in daily teaching rounds and ongoing research activities. He has offices located in New York (Brooklyn, Staten Island) and New Jersey (Middletown, North Brunswick). Dr. Woloszyn is fully trained in the Brown Procedure. Dr. Michael Brown developed the endoscopic carpal tunnel release procedure (Brown Procedure) in 1991 as an alternative to the “open” release procedure, which resulted in extensive post-operative wounds and scarring and a lengthy healing process. Dr. Woloszyn trained with Dr. Brown in 1992 and together they have traveled all over the country teaching other surgeons this particular procedure. Dr Woloszyn has successfully performed thousands of endoscopic carpal tunnel releases over the past 20 years, helping people to recover quickly while delivering the highest quality of care with compassion and respect.
